Marcella Elrod

Mrs. Marcella Elrod, 79, of Braselton, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Arlene Smith will officiate. Interment will be in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born December 28, 1943 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Marshall Clayton Oliver and the late Ruth Bell Crumley Oliver Watson. She was a payroll manager and a member of Free Chapel.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Elrod was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Elrod; sister, Audrey Arlene Smith Jones; father in law, Roy Edward Elrod; mother in law, Jessie Lee Elrod and brother, M.C. Oliver.

Mrs. Elrod is survived by her son, Troy Lee Elrod of Braselton; son and daughter in law, Mark Vincent and Linda Michelle Elrod of Flowery Branch; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers in law, Margery and Darrell Brunn of Carlsbad, CA, Deborah and Jimmy Forrester of Braselton; sister, Linda Beard of Flowery Branch; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother and sister in law, Tony and Charlotte Elrod of Flowery Branch and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
