Lissa Giles Price, age 62 of Gainesville entered her heavenly home on June 24, 2023. She grew up in Anniston, Alabama and was an avid Alabama fan.
Lissa graduated from Alabama's Wellborn High School in 1979. She earned the honor of homecoming Queen and excelled as a straight A honor student. She went on to earn a BSN degree in nursing and had the experiences of working, studying & diving on Kwajalein, Atoll in the Marshall Islands. She was a college nursing teacher in Georgia.
She loved playing the piano and has a baby grand in her home. Lissa's beauty, caring nature and sweet spirit will live on in the memories of her family and all that knew her.
She is married to her surviving spouse, Thomas R. "Randy" Price of Murrayville & they just celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary on June 5th; father-in-law, Jimmy Dale Price of Talladega, AL; nephews of husband, Michael Price, Tillamook, OR; Cody Price, Northport, AL; mother, Pauline Giles; brother, James D. Giles & wife Tracy Giles; nephew Justin Giles, Gainesville; nephew, Jesse (Dusty) Giles & Family, NC; nieces, Jessica Giles, San Diego, CA; Mike & Jennifer Mangiero, San Antonio, Texas; her aunts, Gloria McCain, Orlando, FL; Judith Rae, Indianapolis, IN & cousins, Charlene Warwick, son, Cullen Warwick, Chuck Hudson & Family Gainesville; Lance Landers & Family; Kim Kalogeras & Family; uncles, Tommy Landers, Maggie Valley, NC & Johnny Landers, Gainesville.
Lissa is preceded in death by her grandparents, Paul & Minnie Landers, aunt, Wanda Lee Hudson; grandfather, Jess P. Giles; father, James P. Giles; step-grandmother, Betty Kenyon and her beloved brother, Jeffrey Paul Giles.
Services honoring Lissa will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday June 30, 2023 at the Ward's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Glenn officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Friday.
