Mrs. Janie Louise (Buffington) Fauscett, age 81, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully, Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, surrounded by her family.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 28, 2023, in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. The Reverend Bobby Griffin and Reverend Montey Cantrell will officiate. Interment will follow at Whitehall Baptist Church Cemetery.
Janie was born November 4, 1941 in the New Holland community of Gainesville. She was the daughter of the late John Henry Buffington and Lois (Nix) Buffington. Janie was a homemaker and a member of New Holland Congregational Holiness Church. She always exhibited Proverbs 31, A Virtuous Woman. Janie professed her Christian Values and loved her family fiercely.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold H. Fauscett; son, Karl A. Fauscett; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilyn and Bill Hamby and Barbara and Troy Sudderth.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Kim Fauscett of Murrayville; son, Keith Fauscett of Gainesville; daughter Anita Fauscett Janes of Gainesville; granddaughters, Kacey Janes, Victoria Fauscett and Leslie Turner all of Gainesville; grandson and wife, Eric and Cynthia Waters all of Gainesville; great-grandchildren, Braxton Turner, Cohen Fauscett, Gracie and Makiala Waters; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Phillice Buffington of Fontana, California; sisters-in-law, Joy F. Schaefer, Maxine Fauscett and Edith F. Averett; former daughter-in-law, Jackie Turner Fauscett and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and loving cousins also survive.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Mt. Abarim Baptist Mission, Int.
