Mr. Bill King, 92, of Flowery Branch went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 1, 2023.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2023, in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Dr. Russell Harbin will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park South Funeral

Born on October 17, 1930, in Lawrenceville, GA, he was the son of the late Alton and Hester King. Mr. King was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  He retired from Gerber Baby Products and followed that with retiring as a Realtor with Alma Fuller Realty. Mr. King was a faithful elder and deacon at Mount Carmel Christian Church in Decatur, GA. He and his wife, Gerry, devoted their life to raising a family on the foundation of the love of Christ. He served selflessly as a father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He had a lifelong passion for coaching Little League baseball and watching the Braves. He also loved fishing at the lake, working in his yard and eating Little Debbie’s.

In addition to his parents, Mr. King was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Gibson King.  Mr. King is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Jeff Shoppe of Flowery Branch; son and daughter-in-law, William “Skeet” and Eve King of Eatonton; sister, Barbara Davy of Alpharetta; grandchildren, Candice Rosenberg, Linsey Mathews (Jeremy), Keith King (Raven), Stevie Lett (Josh), Lauren Mathews (Adam), Mindy Fancher (Bill), Brady Shoppe (Rebecca); 16 great grandchildren; and a number of other loving relatives.
