Linda Kay Buffington

Linda Kay Buffington, age 81, of Gainesville, passed away Wednesday July 5, 2023 at her residence.

Linda was born July 25, 1941 in Gainesville to the late Bill & Lillie Mae Loggins Patterson. She retired and had worked for over 20 years of service with Country Pride Poultry Company, and she & her former husband owned & operated Buffington Pine Straw Company for years. She was preceded in death by sons, Aaron Edge & Alvin George Edge; brother, Billy Boy Patterson.

Surviving are her daughters, Johnnie Kay Edge Kytle (William) & Lisa Ann Buffington; grandchildren, Matthew (Elizabeth) Burkett, Kristopher Burkett, Jessica Kytle & Lacie Kytle; great grandchildren, Denver Burkett, Henry Burkett, Emma Kytle, & Kinsley Kytle and a host of other relatives survive.

Funeral services honoring Linda will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday July 6, 2023 at the Ward's Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Shannon Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Gillsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
