Dorothea Kolbli Garner

Dorothea Kolbli Garner, 70, of Hoschton, GA, passed away on July 6, 2023. She was born on March 13, 1953. Dorothea was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend.  Dorothea is survived by her loving husband, Robert Garner, her daughter Jennifer Garner and son-in-law Matthew Earnest, and her sister Linda Buratti.  Dorothea dedicated many years of her life to her career as a Clerk at Duluth High School, where she worked from 2001 to 2018. Her commitment and hard work made a lasting impact on the school community.  Outside of work, Dorothea found joy in various hobbies such as gardening, crafting, travel, and antiquing. She had a green thumb and took great pride in her beautiful garden, where she spent countless hours nurturing and tending to her favorite flowers and plants. Dorothea's creative side shone through her crafting projects, where she would create beautiful handmade items for her loved ones. She also had a passion for exploring new places and collecting unique antiques during her travels.  A memorial service to celebrate Dorothea's life will be held at Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford, Georgia, on July 12th at 1:00 pm. with Pastor Joel Leggett officiating.  Family, friends, and all who knew Dorothea are invited to attend and share in the memories of a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many.  Dorothea Garner will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering support, and generosity. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, especially those that she helped in times of need. May she rest in peace.
