Vicki Lynn Cox Housley age 66 of Gainesville passed away on July 5, 2023. Vicki dedicated her life to the care of others serving as a nurse for over 45 years. She began in labor and delivery in Hall County, later moving to an OBGYN practice, and most recently a position at Gold City Nursing Home in Dahlonega.
Vicki enjoyed spending her free time traveling to the beach and the mountains, and camping. She made numerous friends throughout her career and touched many lives. She will be greatly missed.
Vicki is preceded by her parents Roddy and Mildred (Garrett) Cox, and her sister Robin Cox. She is survived by children Zach (Shanna) Sosebee, and Laura (Kerri Sanders) Wilson; grandchildren, Coltyn, Katie, Aubrey, Jake, Ava, Zaedyn, and Webb; siblings, Debbie Woodall, Roddy Cox, Terry Cox, and David Cox, and her dog Max.
A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Vicki’s wish was for everyone to take a vacation in her honor.
