Donna T. Brown

Mrs. Donna T. Brown of Jasper, Ga. 84, entered into rest to live with our Lord on July 17, 2023. 

Donna was born on April 16, 1939 in Tate, GA too the late Lois and Craig Turner of Dawsonville, Ga.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Charlene Turner.

She received MS Degree from North Georgia College and Specialist Degree in Education from Georgia State. Donna retired from teaching at Brunswick College in 2000.  After retiring, she enjoyed traveling with her best friend and sister, Charlene. They went on many great trips including Alaska, Africa, and Paris. Her most prized possessions were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She cherished her time on beach trips, where the crowd seemed to gather. She loved to spend her nights playing Family Feud and listening to Oldies music, her favorite being My Girl by The Temptations. While she will be missed dearly, her spunky spirit will live on in those who love her.

Donna is survived by her daughter, son in law Kim & Tommy O’Shields (Jasper, GA.); her son, daughter in law Stephen and Donna Lynn Brown (Ball Ground, GA.); her son, daughter in law Tony Brown and Melanie Bergman (Spokane, WA.).   Donna has 5 granddaughters: Salone Griffin (Turner); Sydney Brown; Eryn Brown; Katie O’Shields (Jesse Garland) and Emily O’Shields along with 3 Great Grandchildren Grant, Kyla and Allie.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 11 o’clock in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rev. John Holoway will officiate.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
