Memorial Park Riverside Chapel announces the death of Richard Gary Waldrep, of Grand Prairie, Texas, formerly of Gainesville, Georgia on June 30, 2023.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 pm Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the funeral hour. Inurnment will be in Alta Vista Cemetery. Reverend Maxey Ladd will officiate.
Gary was born August 15, 1950 in Gainesville, Georgia. He was the son of the late George Richard and Avie (Reynolds) Waldrep. He is also preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Alae Risse Thomas and Bob Thomas.
Gary was a lifelong member of New Holland Baptist Church in Gainesville. He graduated from East Hall High School in 1968 and went on to graduate from Lanier Technical College in 1970. He served in the United States Army in Germany. He lived in Grand Prairie, Texas for the past 50 years.
Gary is survived by his sister, Virginia W. Roberts and nephew, Joey Roberts both of Gainesville, Georgia and a number of other friends and family also survive.
