Lyla Marie Peterson Lapp

Mrs. Lyla Marie Peterson Lapp, 89, of Gainesville, passed away Monday. July 17, 2023 at the Resting Nest. She was born on February 15, 1934 in Salt Lake City, UT. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Haldis Anderson Peterson.

The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Her funeral and interment will be in Salt Lake City, UT.

She was married William A. Lapp for 56 years. He predeceased her on April 19, 2014.

Mrs. Lapp is survived by her son, William W. Lapp (Cindy) of Gainesville, GA; daughter, Christine Lapp Hattaway (Russell) of Winder, GA; grandchildren, Mandi Lapp Jones (Taylor) of Braselton, GA, Alisha Hatcher Shaw (Richard) of Winston, GA, Ashley Lapp Lee (Travis) of Braselton, GA; six grandchildren; Emma Kate Jones, Landon Lee, Miller Jones, Lyla Lee, Cora Shaw, Everly Shaw. She is also survived by two of her four sisters, Madelaine Perkins (predeceased her on 4/3/23), Diane Christopherson, Myrna Duncan, Karen Jacobson (predeceased her on 5/4/2022, all of Salt Lake City, Utah and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Her memory is truly treasured by her family and friends
