Cathy Jean Newton

Mrs. Cathy Jean Newton, 59, of Flowery Branch, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at her residence with her loving husband by her side following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. James McClaney will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on December 28, 1963 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Helen Haas. Mrs. Newton was of the Christian faith.

A loving wife, she is survived by her husband, Andy Newton of Flowery Branch; sister and brother in law, Christine and Tim Anderson; nephews, Jonathan Dabian, Josh Anderson and niece, Jennifer Dabian.
