It is with extreme sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Daniel Lee Eller Sr., a cherished father, devoted grandfather, beloved brother, and dedicated friend. He departed this world peacefully in his sleep on this 17th day of August 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering commitment to his family and those many friends he cherished and loved so dearly.

Mr. Eller was born on July 8th of 1960, to Humphrey Posey (H.P.) Eller of Hiawassee, Georgia (deceased 01/04/1981) and Mamie Louise (Lemley) Eller (deceased 01/15/2005) of Lumpkin, Georgia. Daniel is preceded in death by his Wife, Darlene Hollis, his son Chad Eller, and his sibling’s brother Bobby Dean Eller, and sisters Linda Gravitt, Martha Simmons, Marie Ford and Sue Gooch.

He is survived by sons Daniel Eller Jr., Matthew Eller (Kimberly), Danny Eller, Adam Hollis (Brittany). Daughter Carliena Smith (Jeremy). His 5 beloved granddaughters Keeleigh, Madelyn and Zoey Eller, Nicole and Crystal Hollis and his 5 grandsons, his sisters Ollie Mae Riddle, Patricia Eller, Wanda Eller and his sister and caretaker Lisa Eller all of Gainesville, Ga. and all of whom he loved and cherished dearly.

Daniel shared an unbreakable bond with his sisters and carried this family tradition of love and support on to his children, his many grandchildren and to his dearly beloved wife Darlene whom he adored tremendously. Daniel served for over 40 years in Gainesville, Ga in the heating and air business where he worked hard and earned the respect of all who knew him. His commitment to family and the community was unwavering, and his presence brought joy and guidance to all he met. Daniel's memory will forever remain a beacon of light in the lives he touched.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Daniel's life during a memorial viewing service to be officiated by Pastor Leon Thompson. Visitation and viewing will be held on Monday, August 21st, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home located at 2030 Memorial Park Drive, Gainesville, Ga 30504. Services will commence in the onsite chapel at 4:00 pm with reception to immediately follow in the lounge.

In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made directly to Memorial Park for arrangements. The Eller, Smith and Hollis families wish to extend their gratitude to all those who have provided support and comfort during this difficult time.
