John Wade Tucker

John Wade Tucker, 72, of Gainesville, GA and formerly of Buford, GA, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Alice Louise Tucker; brother, Allen Tucker; and sister, Carol Whited. John is survived by his wife, Jean Davis Tucker of Gainesville, GA; children, Jason (Angel) Tucker of Cleveland, GA and Jennifer Tucker of Gainesville, GA; grandson, Xander Tucker; and brothers, Rex (Joyce) Tucker, Kenneth (Martha) Tucker, all of Buford, GA, and Ray (Shirley) Tucker of Flowery Branch, GA. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Mr. Tucker was born March 7, 1951 in Duluth, GA and received his education at North Gwinnett High School, where he later got his GED. He retired from General Motors Assembly plant with over thirty years of service, and was a member of U.A.W. Local 10. After retirement, he worked for the Hall county compactor site for several years. John enjoyed watching Nascar. No formal service, but a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
