Larry "Doug" Douglas Amick, Jr.

Larry "Doug" Douglas Amick Jr., of Alto, Georgia, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. He was born on December 25, 1959, in Newberry, South Carolina.

Doug was preceded in death by his father, Larry Douglas Amick Sr; sister, Shelby Amick; step-father, Tommy Lewis; and sister-in-law, Karene Amick. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 18 years, Betty Amick; his sons, Robert Douglas Amick and Timmy (Kathy) Amick; daughters, Brandi Amick and Kristin (Willy) Hess; and daughter-in-law Alaina; along with his cherished grandchildren, Alaina, Brylee, Benson, and Bohden. He is also survived by his mother, Shirley Amick Lewis, and siblings Kenny Amick, Cindy Broome and brother-in-law Dale, and Joey Amick, along with several nieces and nephews.

Doug was a skilled auto mechanic. While his physical presence is no longer with us, his memories will forever remain in our hearts.

At this time, there is no formal service planned. Let us remember Doug as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, whose spirit lives on in our hearts and stories.
