Lillian Duren Cannon

Lillian Duren Cannon, age 96, from Winder, Georgia, passed away on August 20, 2023.

Ms. Cannon was born on February 11, 1927, in Gwinnett County, Georgia and was the last surviving child of the late Milton Marion Duren and Lucy Popie Little Duren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert “Bozo” Cannon, Jr.; her daughter Brenda Faye Cannon; her son Charles Kenneth Cannon; 17 siblings; several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Cannon is survived by her daughters Teresa Cannon, Loganville, Georgia; Donna Cannon Skinner, Winder, Georgia; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

At the time of her death, Ms. Cannon was the oldest member of the Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church, Loganville, Georgia.  She was once employed by U. S. Envelope, Inc., and the Gwinnett County School System Lunchroom Program.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, Georgia on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the funeral. Elder Kevin Kennedy and Elder Ken Still will officiate the service and interment will follow the service at the Friendship Primitive Baptist Church, Snellville, Georgia.
