Howard Wayne Ivester

Howard Wayne Ivester, age 68, of Cornelia, Georgia met Jesus on Monday, August 21, 2023.

Mr. Ivester was born on March 11, 1955 in Jackson County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, Plumer Howard Ivester. Mr. Ivester was a Volunteer Firefighter with Baldwin Fire Department. He also had served as a Sanitation Engineer at Piedmont University. Wayne had attended Baldwin Baptist Church. Wayne was a blessing to all those he met.

Survivors include his mother, Ruth Andrews Ivester, of Athens; siblings, Michael Ivester, of Athens; Kathy Crumley, of Loganville; Janice Hembree, of Athens; and Barry Ivester, of Augusta.

Interment will be held at the Baldwin City Cemetery.
