Charles “Charlie” Franklin Satterfield

Charles “Charlie” Franklin Satterfield transitioned to his eternal home on August 24, 2023 surrounded by his beloved wife and children.  He passed away at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. 

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Noah Washington Satterfield and Lillie Mae Lance Satterfield; his precious son Johnathan Charles Cecil Satterfield; his sisters Vernell Davis, Montine Clark, Bertie Mae Satterfield, Blondean Casey, Barbara McDonald, Brenda Putnam, Betty Ann Wilson, twins Annree and Mattie Lee Satterfield, Belvia Cowart and Tootie Short; his brothers James A. Satterfield and Arvel Lee Short.  In addition to his family, Charlie was preceded in death by his special buddy and canine companion, Buck.

Charlie is survived by his wife Brenda Kay Dooley Satterfield of Oakwood, his daughter and son-in-law Angel and Travis Stevens of Flowery Branch, his son and daughter-in-law Charles “Chuck” Franklin and Kristia Satterfield of Cleveland, and his son and daughter-in-law Charles “Lucas” and Kristen Satterfield of Athens.  He is also survived by his pride and joy- 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild.

  The family will be accepting family and friends for visitation on Monday, August 28, 2023 between 11 A.M.- 1 P.M at Memorial Park Funeral Homes and Cemeteries at 2030 Memorial Park Road Gainesville, GA 30504. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 P.M.
