Matthew Cobb Jr. departed from this life on Sunday, August 20, 2023.

Matthew was born on August 25, 1954, in Hall County, Gainesville Ga. He attended Gainesville High School and was employed in the Poultry Industry for several years. He enjoyed watching sports on any given Sunday and had an extreme love for food. He especially loved spending time with family whom he made it a point to call every day.

Matthew was preceded in death by his parents Matthew and Mary Jane Riley Cobb, his two sisters, Franklin Lucille Darrisaw and Gloria Maddox.

Matthew leaves to cherish his memory, his sisters Carolyn Cheeks (Oakwood, GA), Guqinto Browner (Cornelia, GA) and Glenda Jenkins (Gillsville, GA); a special cousin, Douglas (Cheryl) Cobb and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

The visitation will be held Monday, August 28th between the hours of 12-8pm at Wimberly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends between the hours of 6-8pm. Mr. Cobb's Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, August 29th at the Hillside Chapel at the hours of 1pm. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
