Mae Oze Walton

Mae Oze Walton was born on March 6, 1956 to the late Roy Tennant, Sr. and the late Annie Ruth Tennant. She was called home to eternal rest on August 22, 2023. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Emma Ruth Bricker, Betty Jean Teasley, Wanda Ann Lee, and Roy Tennant, Jr.

Mae accepted Christ at a young age. She was faithful to God and would do anything to help people. Her contagious smile was exemplary of the pleasant and kind person she was. She loved her family and her gospel music. She would share with anyone who was in need. Her passion was dancing and singing. Most of all, she never met a stranger. Furthermore, Mae graduated from McDuffie High School in Anderson, SC.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her two sons, Willie Roscoe Walton and Cedric Orlando Walton, both of Hartwell, GA; brothers, Joseph Larry Tennant of Washington, GA and Jimmy Rogers (Madeline) Tennant of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Thursday September 7, 2023 at 1pm at Royston Grove Baptist Church. Viewing will be from 11am until the hour of service.
