Tyler Dewitt Staats

Tyler Dewitt Staats, age 35, of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.

Mr. Staats was born on October 27, 1987, in Gainesville, FL, to Darlene Staats and Larry Smith.  He was employed by Qwik Site where he worked as a crew leader.  Tyler was a beloved father, husband, and son who had a huge heart and believed in showing kindness to everyone.

Survivors include his wife, Juliauna Staats; daughter, Alexis Staats; mother, Darlene Staats; step-father, James “Boo” Spiva; father and step-mother, Larry and Leona Smith; brothers, Walter Shane Spiva and Maylon Spiva; sisters and brothers-in-law, Chelsea and Michael Rivera, Shannon and Buddy Murray, Brandy and Mike Hillhouse; sisters, Leslie Smith, Leah Cramer; best friend, Kane Colston; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the café at The Bridge Church on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 2:00 P.M.
