Bettie McDaniel Martin

Bettie McDaniel Martin, age 79, of Buford, GA passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her husband of twenty-six years, Gold W. Martin; parents, Garvin and Evelyn Lyles McDaniel; sisters, Barbara Kenimer, Joan Costley, Patsy Martin; brother, Charles McDaniel.  Mrs. Martin is survived by her daughters, Sharon Kelly of Oakwood, GA, Sheri Hinton, of Maysville, GA; grandchildren, Erik Knudsen, Jacob DeCamp, Luke DeCamp; great-grandchildren, Lanle Knudsen, Brynn Knudsen; sisters, Rita Moore, Pam (Dave) Pargoff; brother, Terry McDaniel; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was born on February 21, 1934 in Buford, GA and graduate from Buford High School.  Mrs. Martin was retired from Scientific Atlanta after many years.  She was a lifetime member of Buford American Legion Post 127 Ladies Auxiliary, located now in Sugar Hill, GA and was a past-president of the Ladies Auxiliary at the American Legion Post.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Sugar Hill American Legion Post 127 located at 6196 Suwanee Dam Road, Sugar Hill, GA 30518.
