Daisy Nell Smith

Mrs. Daisy Nell Smith, 86, of Gainesville, passed away Sunday October 1, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Peck and Rev. Chris Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Tuesday, October 3rd and Wednesday, October 4th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on May 10, 1937 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Roy L. and Odessa West Hicks. She was retired from Warren Feather- Bone where she worked as a seamstress. Mrs. Smith was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe Smith and brothers, Henry Hicks, Eugene Hicks and Billy Hicks.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Nancy Shadburn of Auburn; sons and daughters in law, David and Loretta Smith, Thomas and Laura Smith, Douglas Smith all of Gainesville; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
