Shirley Roy Woodruff

Mr. Shirley Roy Woodruff, 86, of Griffin formerly of Flowery Branch, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at New Horizon’s Lanier Park.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Dickey will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday, October 7th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Born on July 22, 1937 in Carrollton, he was the son of the late J.B. and Virginia Sims Woodruff. He was a Minister.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Woodruff was preceded in death by his brothers, Clinton, Buford, Herman and sister, Marcell Newton.

Mr. Woodruff is survived by his sons, Royce Woodruff of Griffin, Alton Woodruff of Stockbridge, Rodney Woodruff of Newport News, VA; daughter Brenda Carter of Atlanta and a number of other loving relatives.
