Johnny Pruitt

Johnny Pruitt, age 78, of Comer, GA, but formerly of Buford, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-five years, Brenda Duncan Pruitt, and parents, J B and Agnes Stella Pruitt. Mr. Pruitt is survived by sons Johnny Darrel (Missy) Pruitt of Winder, GA, and Clifford Jason (Paige) Pruitt of Commerce, GA; eight grandchildren, Mike and Christine Rowland, Austin and Keagan Rowland, Ethan and Jaycee Pruitt, Dylan Pruitt, Riley Roussel, Kelsey Roussel, Logan and Hattie Pruitt, Kaylan Pruitt; nine great grandchildren; sisters Stella Pruitt Lackey of Danielsville, GA and Laverne (Jeff) Grissom of Jefferson, GA; sister-in-law, Norma (Harold) Monroe of Buford; brother-in-law, David and Kathy Duncan of Buford; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Pruitt was born on January 25, 1945 in Buford, GA, and graduated from North Gwinnett High School in 1963.  He was the owner of Riverside Scrap Metal Company for a number of years, and he was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Pruitt enjoyed his cattle farm and also farming on his property. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Cole Parker and Rev. Steve Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until time for the service at 2:00 p.m.
