Carolyn M. Arnold

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Carolyn M. Arnold, age 81, of Athens, Georgia (South Jackson Community) who entered into rest Saturday October 7, 2023. Mrs. Arnold was born in Jackson County, Georgia the daughter of the the late Samuel Hunter and Lenora Casper Hunter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Seth Hunter.

Mrs. Arnold retired from the Jackson County School System working as a para pro and a secretary at South Jackson Elementary School and loved being outside working in her garden and with her flowers. Most of all she loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of sixty one years, William Hope Arnold of Athens, GA. Two daughters, Janet Berryman and Candise Arnold both of Athens, GA. Son, Rusty Arnold of Athens, GA. Four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Sister, Sammie Harrelson of Winder, GA and several other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday October 10, 2023 at Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Redstone Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12 Noon until time of service at 2:00 P.M. at Evans Funeral Home.
