Dock Aaron Jackson, Jr

Dock Aaron Jackson, Jr., age 64, of Auburn, GA passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, Dock Aaron Jackson, Sr.; sisters, Sherry Ann Jackson and Linda Ergle.  Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Tonya Jackson of Auburn; daughter, Victoria Alexandria (Robert) Newman of Suwanee, GA; grandchildren, Hyden, Peyton, Easton, Colton; mother, Myrtle Ferguson of Cumming, GA; sisters, Elaina “Bebe” (Mike) Kemp of Lawrenceville, GA, Sheryl Standifer of Cumming, Deanna (Tommy) Diehl of Arkansas; niece, Amanda (Joe) Dawhey of Winder, GA; and other nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was born on June 25, 1959 in Americus, GA and graduated from Heritage Academy.  Mr. Jackson was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.  He was a pump engineer with Gainesville Industrial and Electric Co. for over twenty years and had also worked for Mayland Southern Pump and Process in Cumming.  Mr. Jackson was a member of the Peachtree Road Baptist Church.  He enjoyed working with meat processing and was an avid golfer.  Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Peachtree Road Baptist Church, Suwanee, GA with pastor Jay Reed officiating.  Interment will occur at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2023 in the GA National Cemetery, Canton, GA.  The family will receive friends at Flanigan Funeral Home on Monday, October 9, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 pm.
