Edith Jenkins

Edith Jenkins, age 94, of Dawsonville, GA passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023.  

She was preceded in death by parents, Nathan and Irene Gordon; husband, Charles Jenkins; granddaughter, Sheila Jenkins; brothers, Frank Gordon and Wayne Gordon; sisters, Sarah Moore, Mary Henson, Catherine Boynton, and Joyce Morris. 

Mrs. Jenkins is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Debbie Jenkins of Dawsonville, Danny and Denise Jenkins of Buford, GA; four grandchildren, Jennifer Jenkins, Carey Jenkins (Seila) Phlong, Shelley Jenkins (Keith) Randall, Stephen Charles (Heather) Jenkins; six great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Gordon; and several nieces, nephews, and a number of other relatives. 

Edith born on September 19, 1929 in Atlanta, GA. She was raised in Mableton, GA and after marriage, moved to Brookhaven, then retired to her lake home in Dawsonville. 

She worked as a homemaker most of her life and was of the Christian faith.  She enjoyed fishing and crafting with her sisters, and they shared a lot of laughter.  She was quick witted and had a great sense of humor.  Edith loved her family and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and the best mother-in-law. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Channell officiating.  The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
