Jerry Jackson Childers

Mr. Jerry Jackson Childers, age 74 of Dahlonega, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date.

Mr. Childers was born April 28, 1949 in Cleveland, North Carolina to the late Clint Childers and Florence Powell Childers.  He was retired from G.H. Martin Dock Company as a welder and was of the Baptist Faith.  Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Belle Reed and his brother, Billy Childers.

Mr. Childers is survived by his daughter, Tina Pethel of Flowery Branch, his granddaughter, Emily Pethel of Flowery Branch, his former wife, Louise Bales of Flowery Branch, special loved one, Jade Towe, his sisters, Ann Reed of Oakwood and Patsy Childers of Gainesville and his brother & sister-in-law, Charles & Linda Childers of Gainesville.
