Albert L. Stewart, Jr.

Mr. Albert L. Stewart, Jr., age 89, of Commerce, GA died Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Brookside Assisted Living.  Mr. Stewart was born in Lebanon, IN to the late Albert L. and Mary E. Copeland Stewart, Sr.  He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church and a United States Marine Corps Reserve.  He was retired from Children’s Hospital.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce R. Muckus Stewart.

Mr. Stewart is survived by his children, Jeffrey Stewart (Carol) of Commerce, Sandra VanAuken (Bill) of OH, Susan Gerry (Dan) of TX and Cindy Watson (Drew) of NC; brother, John Stewart (Nancy) of FL; sister, Shirly France of OH; 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 5 PM, Thursday, October 19 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Green officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 3 to 5 PM.  The family has respectfully asked that all flowers be omitted and donations made to Freedom Baptist Church, 20732 US-441 S, Commerce, GA 30529.
