Jerry Eugene Scott

Jerry Eugene Scott, age 84 of Commerce, GA passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023.

Born on March 1, 1939 in Aiken, SC, Mr. Scott was the son of the late Arthur Marion Scott, Jr. and Mildred Creech Scott Boatwright. He retired as plant supervisor with Georgian Art Lighting Designs Inc., was a deacon at Hudson River Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by sons, Jerry E. Scott, Jr., Emmett Kevin Scott; son-in-law, Mike Partin; and a brother, Arthur Marion Scott, III.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Beverly Duren Scott; son, Neal T. (Melissa) Scott; daughters, Sonya Partin, Victoria (Paul) Allred; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023 at Hudson River Baptist Church with Pastor Butch Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 10 am until noon Thursday at Ivie Funeral Home.
