Richard Allen Moore

Mr. Richard Allen Moore, age 73, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 21, 2023.

He was born on April 6, 1950, in Toccoa, Georgia. He was the son of the late J.C. Moore and Dixie (Barrett) Moore.

Richard graduated from Toccoa High School and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from North Georgia College. He enjoyed his career as a respiratory therapist and leaves behind family, and many friends and colleagues.

He is survived by his wife of over 42 years, Jan (Cooper) Moore; daughter, Kimberly Cantrell (Brad); and 2 grandchildren, Hannah Cantrell and Robbie Cantrell, as well as his sister, Libby Moore (Susan Snead).

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel.

Richard was a beloved member of the respiratory care community and touched many lives as a leader, mentor, colleague and friend. He worked as a therapist, educator and leader at several of the local area hospitals. There are so many great memories of him in life and in his profession. He will be missed.
