Brenda Carnes Stowe

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Brenda Carnes Stowe, age 75, of Jefferson, who passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. Mrs. Stowe was born in Rome, Georgia, a daughter to the late Daniel Earl Carnes and the late Hilda Etta Lumsden Carnes. Mrs. Stowe worked for the National Cash Register Company in Customer Service and had attended Union Baptist Church in Winder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Stowe.

Survivors include her children, Robbie Gilbert and his wife Brandy of Atlanta, Derek Gilbert and his wife Tracy of Beaufort, SC; sister, Barbara Jenkins of Conyers; grandchildren, Mary Katherine, Thomas, Matthew, Mark, Annabel and Lucy; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Stacy officiating. The burial will follow in the Evans Memory Gardens.

The visitation will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 8:00PM at Evans Funeral Home.
