Roxanne “Granny” Bowen Zacharias

Roxanne “Granny” Bowen Zacharias, age 68, of Canton, GA, passed away October 24, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jason Freeman; parents, Carl and Mary Ruth Bowen; brother, Danny Wayne Bowen; sons-in-law, Chris Stanley, and Joe Christopher; sister-in-law, Sally Bowen.  Mrs. Zacharias is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jimmy C. Zacharias of Canton, GA; children, Brenda Laverne Christopher of Suwanee, GA, Kimberly Dawn Stanley of Madison, GA, and Regina Lynn Christopher of Canton, GA; sister, Rachel (Grady) Christopher of Dawson, GA, brothers, John (Pat) Bowen of Buford, GA, Billy Bowen of Blairsville, GA, and Michael Bowen of Elba AL; Nine grandchildren; and twenty-six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Mrs. Zacharias was born November 17, 1954 in Duluth, GA.  She received her education at Milton High School.  She was a homemaker and a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church, Duluth, GA.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 27, 2023 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA with Rev. Jackie Christopher and Rev. Scott Christopher officiating.  Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
