Winfred Clinton Waldrip, Sr.

Winfred Clinton Waldrip, Sr., 82 of Gainesville gained his Heavenly Wings on November 8, 2023.

He was born August 9, 1941, to the late J. Otis Waldrip and Eva Cash Waldrip in Gainesville, Ga. He attended North Hall High School and was a member of the class of 1959. Winfred was in the poultry industry for over 40 years with 36 of those years as owner and operator of Waldrip Poultry Farms, where he raised his family.  Mr. Waldrip was a member and deacon of Chestatee Baptist Church in Gainesville, Ga.

Mr. Waldrip is preceded in death by sister, Blanch Stowers, brothers-in-law, Boyd Stowers and Gary White, sister-in-law, Virginia Waldrip, sons-in-law, David Belcher, Wayne Carden, Randy Hawkins and great granddaughter, Lannah Denise Waldrip.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Betty Waldrip, daughters, Teresa Belcher (Tommy), Sheila Waldrip, Lequida Hawkins, son, Clint Waldrip (Nakieta), grandchildren, Rebecca McCants (Howard), Wesley Belcher (Lauren), Denisha Tinkham (Peter), Brittany Waldrip, great grandchildren, Noah, Wyatt, Garrett, Abigayle, Liza, Pearson, Sarah, and Gabe, brother, Glenn Waldrip and sister, Brenda White (Ed). A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday November 10, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Franklin Grant and Rev. Todd Skinner will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Chestatee Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.

Gentlemen asked to serve as pallbearers are Phillip Stowers, Wesley Belcher, Howard McCants, Bill Milligan, Tommy Milligan and Bob Milligan.

The family request that no food be brought to the funeral home and in lieu of flowers that memorial donations please be made to Chestatee Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
