Frances Evans Nehring

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Frances Evans Nehring, age 83 of Gainesville, Georgia who entered rest Thursday, November 9, 2023.  Mrs. Nehring was born in Hoschton, Georgia a daughter of the late Reece Evans and the late Nell Brooks Evans.  Mrs. Nehring was retired from the Jefferson City School System where she worked as a Bookeeper.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nehring is preceded in death by her husband William Carl “Buddy” Nehring.

Survivors include a dedicated daughter and caregiver, Leslie Nehring.  Three sisters, Martha Symmes, Linda Deaton and Gail Elrod.  Two brothers, Andy Evans and Randy Evans.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.  Two precious caregivers, Syble Pangle and Connie Dills played a big part in Mrs. Nehring’s care.

A private family graveside service will be held at Walnut Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.  A public Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.
