Linda Joyce Davis Gibson

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Linda Joyce Davis Gibson, age 78, of Jefferson, who passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.

Mrs. Gibson was born in Jackson County, a daughter to the late Clyde and Mazelle Gary Davis. Mrs. Gibson was a Paraprofessional with the Jackson County School System and was a member of the Tyrus Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her daughter in law, Ann Gibson, brother, Bennie Davis, and her sisters, Mildred Phillips, Evelyn Hardigree Lawson and Edith Davis.

Survivors include her husband, A.G. “Hoot” Gibson of Jefferson; sons, Aurtmus Gordon Gibson Jr. of Jefferson, Tony Gibson and his wife Stephanie of Gainesville, Daniel Gibson and his wife Sherry of Jefferson; grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Callie Gibson, Caleb Gibson, Hannah Gibson, Jackson Gibson, Caroline Gibson, Sarah Gibson and a great grandson, Liam Smith also survives.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 in the Redstone United Methodist Church Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Evans Funeral Home, prior to the service.
