Dwight Randall Strickland

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Dwight Randall Strickland, age 75 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Thursday, November 23, 2023. 

Mr. Strickland was born in Jefferson, Georgia a son of the late William Dewey Strickland and the late Reutrell Baxter Strickland.  Mr. Strickland received a Bachelors Degree from Arlington Baptist College, was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, a Private Security Officer, a Missionary to the Philippines, and a member of Brockton Road Baptist Church. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Strickland is preceded by brothers, William, Donald, Dwayne, Daniel, Roger, and David.

Survivors include his loving wife of fifty seven years, Delia Ramirez Strickland of Jefferson.  Daughters, Monica Rutriel Ogletree and Gail Lynn Motes (Chris) of Jefferson.  Son, Jonathan Andrew Strickland (Amber)of Jefferson.  Sisters, Patricia Warren of Charleston, South Carolina, Peggy Cheryl Usry of Winder and Faye Swain of Jefferson.  Seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Monday, November 27, 2023 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Mr. Strickland’s son Jonathan Strickland and Pastor Richard Moon officiating. 

The family will receive friends 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. prior to the service at Evans Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Dwight Randall Strickland, to the Brockton Road Baptist Church, 2675 Brockton Road, Jefferson, Georgia  30549.
