Marty Bruce Childs

Marty Bruce Childs, age 65, of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his son, Shaun Spivey; parents, Dan and Grace Smith Childs.  Mr. Childs is survived by his wife of thirty years, Donna Blackwell Childs of Buford; two children, Marlena (Bill) Wragg of Bethlehem, GA, Stephanie (Travis) McDaniel of Conyers, GA; five grandchildren, Savannah Wragg, JR. Spivey, Savannah Spivey, Sara Parker, Ashley McDaniel; sister, Carol (Harold) Vandiver of Jefferson, GA; brother, Stanley (Patti) Childs of Loganville, GA; several nieces and nephews. He was born on July 18, 1957 in Atlanta, GA and attended Berkmar High School.  Mr. Childs was a lumber salesman with Carolina Builders, Inc.  He also worked for General Motors in Doraville, GA for twenty years.  Mr. Childs was a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula, GA.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Georgia football and horseback riding.  Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Colby Cameron officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
