Lula Bell Greenway

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Miss Lula Bell Greenway, age 88, of Commerce, Georgia, who passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2023. Miss Greenway was born in Buford, Georgia, a daughter to the late Earl Freeman Greenway and the late Lousinda Tanner Greenway. Miss Greenway was a graduate of Buford High School, Young Harris College and was a teacher in Lawrenceville and Buford Elementary, for thirty years. In addition to her parents, Miss Greenway was preceded in death by her brothers, Lee Roy Greenway, John Edward Greenway and her sister, Beatrice Greenway Boles.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Donald Lee Greenway, Jo Ann Greenway Sharp, Debra Kay Greenway Swann, Bonnie Lynn (Boles) Hunsinger, Gloria Kay (Boles) Pellicone, Travis Leon Boles, Jr. and Valarie (Boles) Wilburn.

The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home. The burial will follow on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 PM in the Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, Georgia.

The visitation for Miss Greenway will be held on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Evans Funeral Home, prior to the service.
