Frances Aline Meeks

Mrs. Frances Aline Meeks, 86, of Gillsville, passed away on December 2, 2023 at her son and daughter in laws’, Ricky and Eva Meeks residence in Homer, GA following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Levi Nix, Rev. John Dell and Rev. Jimmy Baker will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Monday, December 4, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Aline was born April 2, 1937 in Franklin County, GA to the late Jody and Grace Segars, She retired from Johnson & Johnson, Chicopee and Wrigley’s in Flowery Branch.  She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Gainesville.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Meeks was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Meeks; infant son, Timothy E. (Timmy) Meeks and brother, Donnie Segars.

Mrs. Meeks is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Tommy and Tammy Meeks of Gainesville, Ricky and Eva Meeks of Homer; brother and sister in law, Joel and Glenda Segars of Gainesville; sisters, Betty Jo Taylor Wilson of Gainesville, Libby McQueen of Tifton; brother in law and sister in law, Johnny and Glenda Meeks of Gainesville; grandson and granddaughter in law, Jamie and Kimberly Meeks of Gainesville; granddaughter, Jessica Hollway of Gainesville; grandson and granddaughter in law, Tim and Brandy Meeks of Homer, Cody and Allie Phillips Meeks of Commerce; great granddaughters, Harlie Meeks of Homer, Annastyn Meeks of Homer, Willa Meeks of Commerce; great grandsons, Noah Mote of Gainesville, Kaplan Meeks of Commerce, Cooper Bohannon of Commerce, Cohen Meeks of Commerce; a very special lady, Maxine Sullens of Homer and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.

The family would like to thank the special ladies of Hospice of NEGMC for the great care they took of Aline.
