Doug Smith

Doug Smith, age 73 of Commerce, GA passed away on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023.

Born on Nov. 3, 1950 in Commerce, GA, Mr. Smith was the son of the late Harvey J. and Vernice Bray Smith. He was a machinist with Roper and EFI for 42 years, a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle, and was preceded in death by a brother, Jamey Smith; and sisters, Patricia Dorsey and Judy Smith.

Survivors include his spouse, Diane Smith of the home; son, Ricky Smith; daughter, Christy (Toby) Dyer; brothers, Frankie Smith, Dennis Smith, Danny Smith; sisters, Brenda Smith, Shirley Smith, Tammy Gee; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Jackson Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 4-7 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
