Rev. Farrell K. Presley, age 87, of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023. He was preceded in death by parents, Claude and Ethel Hicks Presley; sisters, Doris (Doyle) Hunter, Louise Noblet; brother, Edward (Frankie) Presley; son-in-law, Joey Brogdon; Rev. Presley is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Jean Abernathy Presley; daughters, Denise (White) Presley Simpson of Flowery Branch, GA, Rhonda (Kevin) Brogdon Allen of Hoschton, GA; grandchildren, Ashton (Bobby) Oellerich of Flowery Branch, Conner (Amanda) Simpson of Gainesville, GA, Courtney (Nick) Angle of Hoschton; great-grandchildren, Easton Angle, Blaire Angle, Macy Simpson; sister, Claudine Noblet of Hiawassee, GA; brother-in-law, Cline Noblet of Hiawassee; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lynda (David) Shook of Hiawassee; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was born on November 17, 1936 in Cleveland, GA. Rev. Presley was a 1955 graduate of Towns County High School and a veteran of the U. S. Army where he served in Korea for two years. He was retired from General Motors Lakewood Plant after thirty-five years of service. Rev. Presley was a member of Harmony Baptist Church where he served as their pastor. He also served in the following churches as pastor, Upper High Tower Baptist Church in Hiawassee, Lower High Tower Baptist Church in Hiawassee, Many Forks Baptist Church in Young Harris, GA, Holly Springs Baptist Church in Clermont, GA, Eastview Baptist Church in Gainesville, GA, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Tucker, GA, Chattahoochee Baptist Church in Cleveland, Harmony Baptist Church in Buford, GA. Rev. Presley was a member of the Adults Sunday School Class at Harmony Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and serving others. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Shore and Pastor Brian Satterfield officiating. Graveside Services will follow at the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery with Jimmy Hill officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Flanigan Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Flanigan Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Harmony Baptist Church in memory of Rev. Farrell Presley.
