Donald Wayne Doster

Donald Wayne Doster, age 75, of Dawsonville, GA, formerly of Buford, GA, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Doster; sister, Patricia Doster Brown, Nancy Doster.  Mr. Doster is survived by his wife, Gayle S. Doster of Dawsonville, GA; daughter, Lori (Billy) Thigpen of Canon, GA; granddaughter, Hannah Thigpen of Canon; stepson, Joe (Katelynn) Ohlrich of Ballground, GA; grandchildren, William Ohlrich, Lilly Ohlrich; mother, Frances Martin Doster of Buford, GA; brother, Dennis (Connie) Doster of Braselton, GA; nephews, Kyle Doster, Kameron Doster, Brandon Pugh, Rodney Brown; niece Kacy Claxton; and several cousins.  Mr. Doster was born on August 17, 1948 in Atlanta, GA.  He was a 1966 graduate of North Gwinnett High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army for two years.  Mr. Doster was retired from Bailey Cabinet Company in Sales with thirty-eight years.  He was a member of the American Street Rodders and the Classic Auto Rides.  Mr. Doster enjoyed building hot rods for the past twenty-two years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Frankie Southerland officiating.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the funeral home.  In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to Dawson County Humane Society in memory of Donald Doster.
