Arrahwanna Chumbler Swafford

Arrahwanna Chumbler Swafford, age 96 of Gainesville, GA passed away Monday, December 18, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Swafford; parents Rev. GE and Laura Chumbler; her children, Frances, Jerrold, Urshula and Angela Swafford; her daughter-in-law, Brenda Swafford; her brothers, Archie, Reginald and Edward Chumbler; grandson, Allen Hyde of Flowery Branch, GA.

Mrs. Swafford is survived by her granddaughters Michelle Hyde of Flowery Branch, GA, Amanda (Matt) Stowers of Murrayville, GA and Allison (Jonathan) McEver of Jefferson, GA, great grandchildren Levi, Enslee and Gentry Stowers of Murrayville, GA and Hart and Haylen McEver of Jefferson, GA and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Swafford was born July 18, 1928 in Gainesville, GA. She worked at Dairy Burger in Gainesville for a number of years, where she made biscuits at the Dairy Burger every morning and was known for her sweet tea. Grandma was the kindest, gentlest and most caring person you could meet. She never had anything negative to say about anyone. She always had a smile on her face. She will be missed but we know that we will see her again. Mrs. Swafford was of the Baptist faith.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 21st from 4-6pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, December 22nd at 3:30pm in the Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Matt Stowers officiating with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
