Nancy Ann Creviston passed away on December 15, 2023 in Gainesville, GA. She was the daughter of George and Jessie Kiezling Tomm and the wife of Colonel Mark Creviston.
Born on January 1, 1935, Nancy grew up on the family farm in Delavan, Illinois. She attended the University of Illinois where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics. Nancy married Mark Creviston on August 24, 1957 at Delavan Methodist Church in Delavan, Illinois.
Mark and Nancy embarked on an incredible sixty-six-year adventure. They saw the world together, living abroad and often travelling. Always curious and ready for a good laugh, Nancy would never hesitate to take an exit off the highway to see unusual attractions such as the tallest tumbleweed Christmas tree, the largest Czech egg, or the Superman statue in Metropolis, Illinois. Nancy also took great pleasure in quilting, knitting, needlepointing and sewing for her family and loved ones.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Charles George Tomm. Nancy is survived by Mark, her husband, their children, daughter Kathrine (John) and sons Mark (Pearl) and Tomm (Marion); four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial will be held at Lanier Village Estates Chapel , Gainesville, Georgia at 2:00 pm, December 30, 2023. Nancy will be buried at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Georgia.
