Barbara Louwana Humphries Dale

Barbara Louwana Humphries Dale, 81 of Gillsville passed away Thursday December 21, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Dale was the daughter of the late Vernon O. and Marena Jesse Hyde Humphries.  She was retired from the Hall County School Board of Education where she served as the Lunchroom Manager at East Hall Middle School.  Mrs. Dale was a member of Timber Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Scotty Dale, daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Greg Armour, Tammi and Jeff Haynes, son, Josh Dale, grandchildren, Baranda (Andy) Buffington, Whitney (Chad) Crawford, Weston Dale, Conner Dale, Dylan Armour, Brittany (Bo) Dean, Matt (Brittany) Bonds, Bethany (Jaron) Jordan, Emily Haynes, Tracy (Josh) Giles, great grandchildren, Cade Herrin, Emme Herrin, Averie Dean, Evie Bonds, Ensley Bonds, Emrie Bonds, Kole Buffington, Hunter Buffington, Knox Buffington, Branson Crawford, Blaine Crawford, Brady Crawford, and Adalyn Giles, brother and sister-in-law, Royce and Peggy Head, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joe and Sherry Dale, sisters-in-law, Betty Ann Martin and Wanda Kemp, A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Dale is preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Dale, mother and father, Marena Humphries Head and Vernon Humphries, great granddaughter, Madisyn Buffington.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 27, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Timber Ridge Baptist Church.  Dr. Ken Barrett, Rev. Chad Dale, Rev. Gregg Poole and Rev. Kody Rylee will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Timber Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Wednesday December 27 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Little & Davenport Funeral Home.
