Raymond Doyle Tullis

Mr. Raymond Doyle Tullis, 70, of Gainesville, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023 at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Timber Ridge Baptist Church. Rev. Alvin Burns and Rev. Kody Rylee will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Friday, January 5, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, January 6th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Born on June 12, 1953 in Atlanta, he was the son of the late Doyle Egbert and Eva Lucille Hendon Tullis. He was retired from The Cabinet Place and was a member of Timber Ridge Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Tullis was preceded in death by his son, Shannon Tullis and sister and brother in law, Sue and Tommy Robinson.

Mr. Tullis is survived by his wife of 38 years, Karol Tullis of Gainesville; daughter and son in law, Wendy and Tod Richards of Ocoee, FL; son and daughter in law, Eddie and Jennifer Howard of Gillsville; son, Jason Howard of Zephyrhills, FL; sisters, Judy Tullis of Gainesville, Kathy Bishop of Rock Hill, SC; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
