Mr. Xung Nguyen, 83, of Gainesville, GA, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville.
Visitation will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504, on Saturday, January 6th, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Vietnamese Revival Baptist Church, 845 Dorsey St. Gainesville, GA 30501; open to friends and family. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Jason Hung Bedell will officiate.
Mr. Xung Nguyen was born on May 3, 1940 in Quang Tri, Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents Bat Ngoc Nguyen and Rot Thi Ngo, and his brothers The Ngoc Nguyen and Trieu Ngoc Nguyen. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served with the South Vietnamese Republic Army. He resettled in Gainesville where he retired from Siemens. Mr. Xung Nguyen was also a member of the Vietnamese Revival Baptist Church.
Mr. Xung Nguyen is survived by his wife, Men Thi Nguyen of Gainesville; son Huy (Thuy) Ngoc Nguyen, daughter Nhi Nguyen, son Oanh (Trinh) Ngoc Nguyen, son Vu (Hoai An) Ngoc Nguyen, son Hue (Panhia) Ngoc Nguyen, all of Gainesville, GA and daughter Vi (Grant) Nguyen Copeland of Sugar Land, Texas, as well as 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504 is in charge of arrangements.
