Elbert William "Bill" Dale

Mr. Elbert William “Bill” Dale, 96, of Clermont, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Ashton Senior Living.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Rick Taylor will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

He was born on December 6, 1927 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Claude William Dale and the late Minnie Lou Smith Dale. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Betty Lou Peeples Dale; brother, James Authur Dale; his sisters, Doris Murel and Martha  “Susie” Dale.

He was a proud veteran who served in World War II and Korean War in the United States Air Force. Mr. Dale retired from Southern Bell and was a member of New Holland Baptist Church

Survivors include his brother and sister in law, Robert and Janice Dale of Lula; daughter and son in law, Deborah and Ricky Davis of Hoschton; daughter and son in law, Susan and Scotty Abercrombie of Lula; daughter, Lauri Dale of Clermont; son and daughter in law, Jody and Sabrina Dale of Clermont; grandchildren, Amanda Henson, Cale Abercrombie, Conley Dale; Kristen Thompson; great-grandchildren, Davis, Marleigh and Max Henson and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.

The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Ashton Senior Living, and the staff of Inspire Hospice for their care and kindness to our loved one.
