Tammie Brown

Tammie Brown, age 64, of Dahlonega, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. Tammie was a cherished native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County, born on September 13, 1959, to the late Ralph E. and Kathleen Littlejohn.

Tammie’s journey through life was marked by resilience, dedication, and unwavering commitment. She was not only a devoted daughter but also a loving wife to the late George Brown, who preceded her in death. Tammie shared 44 years of her life with Tyson Foods, where her commitment and hard work made her a respected and integral part of the company.

Beyond her professional achievements, Tammie found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. A lover of the sea, she delighted in the soothing embrace of beach waves and sandy shores. Her family held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the moments she spent with them. Tammie’s role as “Nanny Tammie” was a source of pride and joy, as her grandchildren showered her with love and affection.

Tammie Brown leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love, and dedication. She will be remembered for her warmth, her unwavering support, and the countless memories created with those she held dear. As Dahlonega mourns the loss of a beloved community member, we find solace in the knowledge that Tammie’s spirit will live on through the love she shared and the lives she touched.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Heath and Ashley Brown, Cumming; daughter Kelli Brown, Dahlonega; grandchildren Skylar Brown and Aidan Brown; brother and sister-in-law Eddie and Pam Littlejohn, Dahlonega; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to the service hour at the funeral home. 
Tammie’s wishes were to be cremated after the service.
